In this guide, we’re sharing our favourites across Far East Malls — how many have you tried?

Jin Li Steamboat Buffet
Attentive service, fresh meats sliced to perfection and a variety of broth and ingredients to choose from — Jin Li Steamboat has it all. Its specially brewed spicy Mala hotpot broth is consistently delicious and free of the bitter overtones that can arise when Szechuan peppercorns are boiled for too long. That’s a big plus point in our books, especially when it’s an all-you-can-eat buffet that you want to take time to enjoy.
Visit Jin Li Steamboat at Woods Square, #B2-04.
Shabu Sai
Japanese hotpot is just as popular as Chinese steamboat in Singapore. Those in the know flock to Shabu Sai, a popular all-you-can-eat restaurant that serves shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) as well as authentic Sukiyaki and sushi. It has seven soup bases and a splendid array of ingredients on the buffet line! Must-try specialities include the Tonkotsu soup base, prepared using the same formula as the restaurant’s outlets in Japan, and the Sukiyaki soup base, which is sweet and savoury at the same time. There’s also the Cordyceps Flower Herbal Pot (brewed with a pork and chicken base) available exclusively in August and September. Try it with signature items like the pork, beef or chicken served in bamboo — because bamboo’s natural anti-bacterial properties is said to protect the freshness of the minced meat!
